L’VOYAGE FOUNDER CALLS FOR CHINA-ASEAN COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION AT THE 2016 WORLD CHINESE ECONOMIC SUMMIT

L’VOYAGE founder and chairman, Diana Chou, called for greater collaboration and innovation between entrepreneurs from China and South East Asian countries in order to leverage under-tapped business opportunities in the region, during the World Chinese Economic Summit held in Malacca, Malaysia. The prestigious annual summit hosts about 300 policy-makers, entrepreneurs and thought-leaders from around the Asia Pacific region each year. Speakers at the 2016 Summit include dignitaries such as The Rt Hon. Datuk Seri Utama Ir. Hj. Idris bin Hj. Haron, Chief Minister of Melaka, Malaysia, Professor Doctor Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, former President of the Republic of Indonesia and Ma Ying-jeou, former President of Taiwan.

At an Entrepreneurs Roundtable at the Summit, Chou participated in a lively discussion on the resourceful ways Asian companies can use to develop global and regional networks and to tap new areas of growth. As the first woman to sell private jets in Asia and an aviation industry pioneer, Chou has been instrumental in the development of the Asia Pacific business aviation industry. She has done so by tapping on the expertise and skills available in global markets while building home-grown talent here. Today, Chou’s portfolio of business aviation companies provides private jet chartering services, sells helicopters to the Chinese government, advises on aircraft acquisitions and financing, and conducts training for much-needed aviation engineering specialists in mainland China.

“Asia has enjoyed stellar economic growth for about 20 years and is the engine of the global economy today. In many ways, we have overtaken more mature markets, but we cannot be complacent. To insulate our companies against global economic shifts, we must continue to innovate and build on our domestic markets. At our private jet chartering company, L’VOYAGE, for example, we are investing in the most up-to-date mobile technology to enhance our customers’ total experience when they fly on our private jets. Moreover, we offer one-of-a-kind VIP experiences as well as new flight routes to some of the most exotic destinations that Asia has to offer. Only when we focus on the customer, innovate and stay one step ahead of their evolving needs will we ensure that Asian companies, Chinese and South East Asian ones alike, will continue to grow in a sustainable fashion,” said Chou.
